Pebbles
Pebbles are elements that exist on the limit between the land and the sea, combining the steadiness of their nature as rocks with the endless movement of the waves. The pebble has not yet its final form, as it’s transforming continuously through the contact with the sea. It becomes smooth, hollow, it changes its shape, it makes sounds. It does not have an end or a beggining, no right way to watch or hold and, even though all look the same, each one is unique. In the fragment of its history that we come across it, it is perfect in its existence yet open to new challenges and -why not- personal interpretations. The “Pebbles” collection explores the volume and the shape of the forms, as all the pieces are hammered and, thus, hollow. A game for the sences is created through movement, sound and the illusion of weight.
